Homework and Notes for Monday, September 9th

1) Read for at least 20 minutes
2) Work on Math Packet for Mrs. Mahliot (due Monday)
3) Complete Spanish Homework (most students finished in class)

* Students will need a set of headphones or earbuds for class this year. Almost all students have a pair, and we have a few classroom sets, but we could always use extra pairs. If you have any unused pairs at home, we'll take them! I really discourage students from bringing expensive headphones or earbuds to school as it is a shared space with other classes.

* I have added links to Google Classroom, Khan Academy, iCivics, and Mrs. Mahliot's blog to the top of my blog for easy access. Students will be using Khan Academy for both math and grammar practice this year. is a website founded by Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor to improve students’ civic knowledge, civic attitudes, and core literacy skills, using innovative games to  teach young people to understand how our political systems work. This is an independent choice option for students, not part of the core curriculum, but I highly encourage students and parents to check it out. I will explain further at Open House next week.
