April News and Notes

Good evening! I hope everyone had a great spring break!

First, I want to thank all of the 4B parents for being so amazing and supportive. I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful group of students this year, and can't believe there are only 11 weeks left!

Second, flyers went home today regarding the "Erin's Law" presentation that will be held soon. The presentation is conducted by our social worker, lasts about 15-20 minutes, and is age-appropriate. However, this is obviously a sensitive subject and parents may opt to have their student sit out of the presentation. The form only needs to be signed and returned if you choose to opt out.

Third, I have updated the class website, consolidating the links at the top of the webpage into sections. No links were deleted, just moved, and I can assist any student who needs help relocating a link or site. I have also updated the 4B Calendar with the revised end-of-year dates, early release days, and testing windows. Hopefully there are not too many more changes to make, but I will update the calendar if changes do occur.

Finally, as we enter the final stretch of the school year, some of the 4B supplies have dwindled and lost their luster/dried out. While we have all the supplies and materials we need, I've created a 4B Class Wishlist on Amazon of items that are always in demand, such as electronic wipes, post its, markers, etc. (The link will also be posted in the "Other Sites & Links" section of the website.) Again, we do not need anything, but I know the students would be thrilled with some refreshed items. Thank you to the Pughs for donating some much-needed wipes, eraser tops, and felt glide caps for our chair legs! They were a big hit!
