The Indian Trail Halloween Parade will begin at 1:50pm. The route, weather-permitting, is below. As I informed the students on Friday, Monday is still a school day, and costumes should not impede academic activity.

3) Get permission slip signed for Thursday's concert at the high school (walking, no bus)

Weekend Update

1) I forgot to mention that we have two students in tournaments this weekend. Best of luck Elliana and Jasper! We're rooting for you!

2) Indian Trail's Halloween Costume Parade will be held on Monday, October 31st. More details will be share early next week.

3) Conference Sign Up sheets were sent home this week. Conferences will be held on Monday, November 21st and Tuesday, November 22nd, from 12pm-8pm. We do our best to accommodate all requests and schedule siblings together. Please return forms as soon as possible, even if you choose not to schedule a conference. FYI - this is a student-led conference where students will present/share their work and set academic goals for the following months. You may also email me (bbrandstrader@nssd112.org) to state your date/time preference if the form didn't make it home.

2) Study for Spelling Quiz and finish any remaining spelling work
3) We are starting to study poetry in class. Please think about poems that you like, or music lyrics that you think are poetic for discussion in class tomorrow.

Conference sign up forms went home today. We do our best to accommodate all requests and schedule siblings together. Please return forms as soon as possible, even if you choose not to schedule a conference. FYI - this is a student-led conference, thus students are expected to attend if possible.

3) OPTIONAL - We will film tourist videos tomorrow for locations in the Northeast Region. I have given students a graphic organizer to help them organize their thoughts, but it is just for assistance if they would like it. All that is required (if your student would like to film a tourism commercial) are some fun facts, passion, and a persuasive argument for why people should visit the location you picked!
