Homework for Tuesday April 19th
2) Work on West Region Packet in preparation for Friday's quiz (States and capitals will double as our spelling work for the week. Thus, CAPITALS will be required, not extra credit)
3) Bring Chromebook charger to school and make sure you have working headphones
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM 4TH GRADE TEAM
Dear 4th Grade Parents,Over the next few weeks, assigned homework will be drastically reduced due to PARCC testing, MAP testing, and religious holidays. Additionally, Chromebooks will stay at school for the next two weeks (starting tomorrow) to ensure all students have charged, working Chromebooks for PARCC testing.
Students will still be encouraged to read five times a week for 20-30 minutes.
If students have access to personal computers or tablets at home, students can practice their math skills on ALEKS, IXL, XTRAMATH, or multiplication.com. Students can work on their grammar and punctuation on IXL Language Arts, or work on their spelling and writing skills on SpellingCity.com. Other options include iCivics.org (educational games centered on civic responsibilty and government functions), RAZ Kids (reading passages), Code.org or Scratch (coding), or The Oregon Trail computer game (a strategic simulation of the westward expansion of the 1840s and 50s).
Most importantly, students should get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast. We truly appreciate your help adjusting to this change in our routine.
