1) This year, North Shore School District 112 has made spring conferences optional for the 2015-2016 academic year, details of which are being sent home today. I always value collaborating with students and parents, but I recognize that these conferences occur during a very busy time of year. Traditionally, spring conferences in fourth grade are an opportunity for students to present their work, as well as for parents to discuss their child’s growth. However, since students will be presenting their work digitally, report cards are being mailed directly home, and I am always available to discuss your student’s progress, I understand that a face to face conference may not be necessary in some cases.
If you choose not to schedule conference during the allotted time frame, please be assured that I will address any questions or concerns you may have via email or phone at your convenience.
Please look for the conference form in your child’s backpack today, as I am hoping to have all forms in by Friday if possible. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
2) Valentine's Day is quickly approaching! School policy is that if your student would like to pass out cards, they must have a card for all students. A list of names is below.
