Agenda for Monday November 3rd

Hello students,

I hope you had a wonderful and safe Halloween and didn't eat ALL of your candy. Mr. B did very well in his marathon, but his old legs aren't working very well so I will not be at school today. Here is the agenda.

8:50 - 10:15
MATH
  1. 8:50 - 9:20 - Warm up on Chromebooks
    1. Students should work on ALEKS pie, QuikTables, or XtraMath
  2. 9:20 - 9:50 - Students who created multiplication word problems on Friday should share them one at a time, and the rest of the class should solve.
  3. 9:50 - 10:15 - If there is extra time, students may play the box car game of their choice.
10:15 - 10:30
SNACK
  1. Students should eat their snack and
    1. continue working on your math/classroom posters
    2. for those few who already finished their posters, you can draw or  read quietly (no computers)
10:30 - 11:00
BOOK REVIEWS
  1. Students should share their book reviews. You may bring their computers to the board. I doubt you will get through all of them, so the rest can show theirs in the afternoon.
11:00 - 11:50

  1. Complete your Monday AND Tuesday work in the packet.
  2. If students finish early, you should complete THREE activities of your choice on Spelling City. If you don’t finish in class, they should finish for homework.

  1. 1:15 - 1:45 - In my magazine rack in the reading area, there are ample copies of National Geographic and StoryWorks magazine. INDIVIDUALLY, students should select a magazine and pick an article that interests you and complete the Non-Fiction Notes worksheet. If done right, this should take most of the 3o minutes. Write in complete sentences and complete all sections.
  2. Students who complete the notes early can work on code.org, typing club, or read quietly while others finish.
